What a Summer!

 November, 2025

As we are excited to start preparations for ice fishing season 2026, we want to take a moment to reflect on our exciting summer and fall.  We put many miles on the Mercury Verado powered Warrior and explored a lot of new territory and found quite a bit of success! Every year at this time we look back at the many things we learn.  Like any of our jobs or hobbies, fishing should be an endless learning experience, because this is what drives the passion for the sport.

Speaking of doing what we love, we had another spectacular summer of fishing trips with kids this year! Throughout the summer we were able to meet and  fish with over 20 children throughout 3 days of volunteering kid's events -proud to say every child landed at least 2 fish each!

Our latest adventure, we had the opportunity to take out our friend Brooks, age 8, who has his own YouTube channel Titled "Brooks' Fishing Secrets" (Please subscribe and watch the wonderful video he made with us that day!) We fished the Fox river on a particularly tough bite after a 30 degree temperature drop in 12 hours, but were able to land a few species Brooks was happy to check off his list with a mix of casting crank baits, hair jigs, and trolling.   Brooks was proud to say he also caught his personal best walleye!

As I type, today Door County is under a Severe Winter Storm Warning with accumulations of snow!  We are really hoping for an earlier start to our Whitefish season.  Preparations are already starting, as well as clients booking ice trips.  While there is no guarantee as to the exact date we will  be fully operational on the ice, it is a great time to start thinking about selecting a day to fish with us on the hard water. Just a reminder, we offer a special deal on our ice fishing packages for kids!  While we are sad to pack up the boat for the winter, we are really looking forward to fishing with you this winter!
